Volume I: The Eagle in the East

 

Twenty years ago, the kingdom of Gladius was overrun by the barbarian Randwulf the Conqueror. He rules with an iron fist, but is plagued by a prophecy of his downfall. While he moves to counter the threat to his reign, a young man makes his way to Gladius. Mark, son of Luther, was raised as a swordsman but turned away from his upbringing to find peace within a monk's cloister. However, Mark longs to return to the land of his birth and so he leaves the life of a cleric behind to uncover his lost past. Neither Mark nor Randwulf yet realize how their fates are intertwined, but soon they will.
