Broken Vows

The High Templars, God's own knights, protectors of the holy city of Antioch. Theirs is a great responsibility, a heavy burden. The knight Thames joins the order by the command of his king to build alliances with distant lands, but also to find a release for his guilt-riddled conscience. He takes on an apprentice, the young refugee Gareth, and tries to guide him on a nobler path than the one he had trodden. Enter Sister Maria Sophia, an angel of mercy with a heart that burns for both the master and the apprentice. Acting on such feeling is forbidden by their vows, but human weakness has a way of confounding godly purpose.
