Impressions:
I wasn't expecting another film outing for MISTER Tibbs, but I couldn't very well pass it up when I caught sight of it. It's not a bad film. Where They Call Me MISTER Tibbs! is proto-blaxploitation, this is more of a proto-Dirty Harry (or maybe not so proto as this came out two months prior to Dirty Harry). Honestly, if you swapped Sidney Poitier for Clint Eastwood, it'd fit right in. I liked the ragtag gang of amateur vigilantes wildly out of their depth, causing Tibbs more trouble than they help. It's a decent 70s cop flick. Give it a watch.
