The Brides of Dracula (1960)

Synopsis:
A stranded young woman from Paris is taken in by a baroness and stumbles upon the family's dark secret.

Impressions:
You'd think a Dracula movie with no Dracula would be a hard sell, but this is actually fairly solid. I liked the plot with the Baroness and her son. Our female lead Marianne doesn't have much going on, but the focus shifts to Van Helsing once he appears, who is of course a far more compelling character. We see an interesting treatment for vampire bites. The ending is a touch abrupt, but that's fairly common among Hammer films. It stacks up favorably compared to a lot of the other sequels in the series, so give it a watch.
