Synopsis:
Following the assassination of Joseph Smith, the fledgling Mormon church ventures westward and settles in Utah.

Impressions:
I opted to watch this because Tyrone Power was the headliner, but I found it to be a melodramatic slog. Maybe there's more appeal for Mormons, but it seems that there are some mixed reviews on that end as well. This degree of schmaltz is fairly common for the era, but I didn't find enough redeeming value to recommend it.
