Impressions:
When I was watching Bokuben, I noticed a lot of people bringing up this series. Once S2 of Bokuben started up, I decided to check this out as well. While I wasn't taken in quite as quickly as with Bokuben, the series quickly grew on me and even though I really like Bokuben, this definitely has deeper character dynamics that brings a more mature appeal. Starting off with a flash forward to the main character's wedding day and leaving us to fill in the blanks when the potential bride candidates are quints is an interesting premise. I do like that Uesugi is more assertive than the average harem protagonist with Yoshitsugu Matsuoka delightfully hamming it up (as opposed to when he's stuck with blander characters to play like Kirito and Bell Cranel). The girls each have their own appeal, except for Nino, though I hear she gets significant character development outside the scope of this season that has won her a devoted following. (Although I seriously doubt it'll be enough to sway me from Team Miku.) While the character dynamics are the main draw, the production values are solid and the visuals appealing. If you're looking for a solid romcom, I strongly recommend it.
