Impressions:
Due to the break between the parts of Owarimonogatari, I'm going to divide up Final Season much as I did with First Season. There are three parts to this arc of the story and the first two place a lot of emphasis on Ougi, who appears to be a fairly divisive character. I happen to enjoy her schtick, so her increased screentime works for me. While "Sodachi Lost" has some powerful acting to it, I enjoyed "Shinobu Mail" more, primarily because I preferred developing Shinobu further instead of dealing with an entirely new character. (Speaking of said new character, I have mixed feelings about Oikura. I don't think she was quite as well executed as some others, though I'll credit seiyuu Marina Inoue for her acting chops.) This is overall a solid continuation of the story, but the first half will grate on you if you don't like Ougi. My verdict is that it's worth a watch.
