Impressions:
Most fans of the Alien franchise are also fans of the Predator franchise (no small part of the reason why AvP sounds good in theory). I'm counted among that number. This movie is awesome. It starts out like it's a sequel to Commando (never mind that Arnold killed off Bill Duke there), then becomes something very different as the hunters become the hunted. The cast is colorful and memorable. You get attached and that keeps you engaged. I want to give Kevin Peter Hall all due credit for his portrayal of the Predator and Stan Winston for its design. I also can forget the awesome score by Alan Silvestri. When you think action scifi, this should be up there near the top of the list. This is one for the collection. Go, get to da choppah watch it now.
