Phantasm II (1988)

Synopsis:
Mike is released from the psychiatric war and joins Reggie on a quest to put an end to the Tall Man.

Impressions:
Not having seen the original, I'll grant that I may be missing out on some foundation that mars my appreciation for the film. All I got out of it was a rather unimpressive horror film of limited means and the appeal to match. The custom-built quadruple-barrel shotgun was kinda nifty and the balls of evil were somewhat cleverer in concept than execution. Maybe fans of the original see something I didn't, but I don't have any compelling reason for any of you to watch this. Pass on it.
