Impressions:
Paired with Osamake, I considered this part of my weekly dose of pain, but unlike that other series, there's a little more merit to this one. The characters are largely unlikable (Reona especially so), but at least Hiro's idiocy leads to sufficiently bad consequences and his tsukkomi rejoinders to everything that happens to him are perhaps the most entertaining things to be had about the series, that and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka's hammy performance as the abrasive edgelord Kamui. There's definitely an audience out there Reona is appealing to, but I'm with Kamui on his assessment of her (another reason I enjoy his character). While Hiro does almost everything as hilariously wrong as a person can, I will say that the setting of Kiwame Quest does inspire the imagination a bit. This isn't a particularly enjoyable series, but there may be just enough that you don't find the viewing experience a total waste. Take it or leave it.
