Impressions:
After being disappointed by the previous film and not feeling particularly encouraged by the trailers, I passed on the chance to see this in theaters. I will say, however, that it's definitely an improvement on the previous film. While I wasn't that enthusiastic for Ghidorah's design initially, the concept of it being an entity that defied the laws of physics was intriguing and its initial appearance was one of the best moments in the series next to the reveal of Godzilla Earth. Metphies and the Exif's plan was always running in the background and it's somewhat rewarding seeing it come to fruition. Some people may be disappointed in how the Godzilla vs. Ghidorah fight ultimately plays out, but that's kinda par for the course at this point. The movie could've stood to be about ten minutes shorter. I get what they were doing with the epilogue, but I don't think it was necessary. While I'm not left feeling overly enthusiastic about it, I will say this is worth a watch at least.
