Synopsis:
Ten years after his retirement, Bruce Wayne becomes Batman once more to combat a brutal gang overrunning Gotham.

Impressions:
The Dark Knight Returns is a rather well-known storyline and I was interested in seeing it brought to the screen, especially since Peter Weller takes the role of the aging Caped Crusader. It's a rather dark story, but there's a measure of crudity to the writing that undermines the seriousness. I'm not a huge fan of the ogrish physique given to Batman or much of the overall aesthetic, but it works for what it is. It's not outstanding, but it's worth seeing.
