Impressions:
Like most people who've lived through the glut of zombie content, I was quite happy to see the rotting shamblers fade into the cultural background. It would take something special to draw me in and that's exactly what this series brings to the table. Leave it to life in corporate Japan to make a zombie apocalypse feel like an improvement. We've got a nice story about finding fulfillment after the collapse of civilization with interesting perspectives brought by each of the main cast members. You'll immediately be struck by the vibrant visual style with such flourishes as multi-colored zombie blood and wild set pieces I want to leave as a pleasant surprise for anyone who hasn't seen the show yet. As the inaugural effort of Bug Films, it definitely impresses and has me hopeful for their future, though it should be noted that production issues did result in a notable delay in the last few eps in the original run. However, we've been seeing a lot of that lately, so I don't mean to single them out for it. Anyway, I enjoyed this quite a bit and would gladly recommend adding it to your collection.
