Impressions:
I enjoyed the previous season well enough, so I was game for more. A lot of stories struggle once the initial novelty wears off, and I have to admit that Kuzunoha's time at the Academy is a bit of slow burn (much like a similar arc in TenSura). Once things pick up in the second cour, we start to get the goods with a pretty solid season finale. Introducing other heroes mixes things up a bit, and we get some other new characters introduced to weave in conflicts with demons, dragons and such. We toss in some complications to mitigate Kuzunoha's OPness, which I appreciate, and the fact that he ultimately has his sights on the goddess, who is currently more powerful than him, keeps things from being a total cakewalk. We also have plenty of fights between characters at lower power levels so that the outcome isn't so obvious. I have to admit that for a while I thought my connection to the story was wearing thin, but as I was getting caught up, I found myself being more attentive than I was expecting, which shows that I found the story engaging and I think that's enough for me to recommend a watch so long as you think you've got the patience for the slow bits.
