Impressions:
I know I say I'm not going to watch series with "saikyou" in the title, but I end up breaking that rule now and again, not that I can recall it ever resulting in me finding any sort of hidden gem, but you never know. It may happen one day. Although the initial setup is a typical "banished from the party" scenario, that element fades into the background fairly quickly and it ends up being a fairly standard fantasy story. It neither succeeds nor fails in any remarkable way. The character designs are fairly nice (the main reason I even checked the series out in the first place) and the production values are pretty consistent. Perhaps for someone who hasn't consumed the same sheer volume of content as I have, it might make more of an impact. If you're just looking for a way to while away the time, you could do far worse. Take it or leave it.
