Impressions:
Imagine Overlord where Ainz's Momon persona is the real deal and you'll have the basic idea of how this series plays out. Amid the sludge of a lot of isekai trash I've been wading through lately, I found this little gem. It's not amazing, but it's pretty solid and reliably enjoyable. Arc has an amusing personality and a great dynamic with his partner Ariane. The worldbuilding isn't terribly deep, but there's just enough going on to give you something to chew on. Now, the way the series begins, you might think you're in for something a little edgier in the vein of Goblin Slayer but while there is some dark stuff going on, it doesn't dive too deep into it, so don't let it put you off. All told, it's a series that knows what it is and neither overreaches nor underperforms, which more than I can say for a lot of stuff out there. If you're in the mood for some fair mid-tier fare, give this one a watch.
