Impressions:
I'll be honest with you. The first cour of this season is a bit slow, with some political maneuvering in the clans and Sunraku grinding for mats and such. If you stick it through, though, things pick up in a big way in the second cour. We get some major battles that really have to be seen and even some sidequests that flesh out the wider world of the story. Because they use up the full runtime for a lot of episodes, ShaFro Theater Minis tend to be few and far between, so if you liked those as a sort of after-dinner snack, you won't be getting as much of them. As far as production values go, C2C doesn't let up in the slightest and spending some time in different games allows them to flex their skills in different ways than if we just stuck to SLF. As a One Punch Man fan, I'm tempted to make the joke that we get a tournament arc that doesn't suck. (Even though I personally didn't mind the tournament arc and thought the payoff was one of the best in the series, in the manga at least, I know a lot of fans weren't fans of that bit.) This season was one of the few decent things to come out of the Fall 2024 season and appropriately picked up to keep pace with the much stronger Winter 2025 season. I think I can safely recommend you add it to your collection.
