Synopsis:
Finding herself with too much time on her hands, Tohru takes up a part-time job working at a maid cafe.

Impressions:
It's great to see KyoAni back on their feet after the tragedy of the arson incident and what a way to get back in the saddle. I enjoyed the first season of this series quite a bit and we don't lose a thing in its continuation. We dig deeper into the existing cast but also introduce a new member in the form of Illulu, first as an antagonist and then as a regular, much as was done with Elma. The way Kobayashi and Tohru's relationship is handled is particularly nice, but, honestly, the character dynamics are excellent all around. The season finale giving us both a summer festival and an out-of-season hanami party closes things on a poignant note. Production values maintain the high standard KyoAni is known for and it was a classy touch to continue to credit the late Yasuhiro Takemoto as series director. This is easily the MVP of the season and I'm more than happy to recommend adding this to your collection.
