Impressions:
The fact that this story comes from the author of Teasing Master Takagi-san was enough to pique my interest and I'm certainly not opposed to watching a show about cute girls doing ninja things. The show is mostly just light comedy with a ninja theme and if that's all you're looking for, you should be happy with what you get. With twelve teams of three, two instructors and a late addition to the main team, the cast is a bit bloated, but the focus remains primarily on Tsubaki's team with most of the rest given a feature episode before fading back into the background. Most of the characters are fairly one-note, so their gimmicks will either work for you or they won't. The main running gag is Tsubaki, whose normally the ace among the kunoichi in training, klutzing it up as her boy-craziness gets the better of her. We occasionally get some nice action set pieces and I have to give particular note to the teamup in the final episode. While this series lacks the depth and poignancy of Takagi-san, it's still enjoyable as light viewing, so if the premise sounds appealing to you, check it out.
