Impressions:
I can remember seeing a voiced promo for the manga of this series a couple years back and thought the concept sounded neat. This series is a bittersweet look at the golden years and not just how seniors interact with the world but also how the younger generations interact with their elders. A lot of the humor is centered around the generation gap, especially when the main couple continue to act like old folks even in their youthful bodies. There also seems to be some subliminal programming to get the young people of Japan to move to the country and reinvigorate the country's flagging agricultural sector. As someone with a particular affection for my elders, I found the story particularly resonant. If you love your grandparents, you'll want to check this out.
