Impressions:
I like many manga readers wasn't a huge fan of how the story ended, so I wasn't all that eager to watch the conclusion in animated form. This was originally released in two parts, only to be later released as six episodes, and I didn't feel the need to watch the first part until the second one came out. At this point, you're probably expecting me to say some unkind things, but I'll be honest with you, I really enjoyed this. As much as I disagree with a lot of the things that were done with the characters and plot overall in the final arc of the story, seeing the finale play out in animated form is quite thrilling. MAPPA has done an amazing job of bringing this all to life and no punches are pulled in all the horror and high-tension action of the final battle for the fate of the world. Even if you take issue with how things turn out and who gets what kind of fate, this is quite a conclusion for this ten-year journey. Just for the action alone, I'd say it's worth having, but there's more to it than just that, so you shouldn't have any reservations.
