Impressions:
I had only heard about this series on a peripheral level, but seeing the characters in Isekai Quartet prompted me to give the main series a shot. If you like shows with a villain protagonist, this will probably be your cup of tea. The setting is essentially World War I (and edging into WWII) with the serial numbers filed off, told from a pro-German, ahem, pro-Imperial perspective. While there are occasional efforts to present the horrors of war, Tanya is so OP and sociopathic that it doesn't hit home much. You may well find yourself sympathizing with neither side in the conflict and simply enjoy the fireworks. I'm not a huge fan of the character designs, especially for Viktoriya, but Tanya's got a bit of a Hellsing thing going on with her expressions that are effective if not all that aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn't say this is a series for all audiences, but if what it is appeals to you, I think you'll agree that it's worth a watch. Also, the opening is amazing. That can't be understated. Between "Jingo Jungle" here and "Voracity" from Overlord III, I may just be a Myth & Roid fan.
