Teasing Master Takagi-san (2018)
[からかい上手の高木さん]
Director: Hiroaki Akagi
Studio: Shin-Ei Animation
Starring: Rie Takahashi, Yuji Kaji, Konomi Kohara

Synopsis:
A middle schooler struggles to find a way to get back at a classmate who constantly teases him.
Impressions:
This is a sweet little slice-of-life that follows a fairly simple pattern of our male lead Nishikata trying to come up with a way to get one over on the eponymous Takagi-san, but his overwrought efforts inevitably blow up in his face. There are a number of ways to tease a person, but I really love Takagi's low-key style. Her calm savviness is an excellent foil to the excitable and easily embarrassed Nishikata. While this is plenty entertaining on its own, we do periodically cut to the antics of side characters to mix things up. The character designs are really cute, though honestly they look younger than you would think given their age (except for Kimura, who looks like a middle-aged man, which is kinda funny in its own way). If you're looking for something chill to enjoy, this is a fine choice. Definitely give it a watch. I'd go farther and say add it to the collection.
