Impressions:
With the movies going down in flames, a lot of people have written off the Star Wars franchise, but when this series was rolled out, you heard a number of people proclaim, "Star Wars is saved!" Actually, I think more people were looking forward to the season finale of this show than Episode IX. I certainly enjoyed it more. As with almost everything Star Wars, the fandom is split. However, perhaps because I wasn't expecting anything, I didn't really have any problems with it. As a scifi TV show, it's fine. Sure, you can pick it apart (and I'll admit that the dialog tends to be clunky in parts) and I'd never claim it's the height of TV entertainment, but I think if you go in with the right mindset, you'll enjoy yourself. The production values are quite good and it feels more organic to the Star Wars universe than the Sequel Trilogy for the most part, reminding me more of the feel of Rogue One. It's a bit of a shame that it's locked behind the wall of the Disney+ streaming service, but if you happen to have a subscription, it's worth checking out.
