Impressions:
Yet again I find myself drawn to a series by some random Youtube clip. I started watching out of mere curiosity, but I quickly latched on to the characters, so much so that I ended up marathoning the whole series in a single sitting. I have to say that the frank handling of the subject matter, especially from the female perspective, isn't something I commonly encounter in Japanese media. Some elements are rather dicey but get handled fairly tactfully, either softened by humor or given an appropriate dramatic weight. The balance of comedy and drama may or may not work for you, with the latter half coming off as a bit unnecessarily overwrought (but those of you how like a good soap opera might appreciate the spiciness of some of the later goings-on). It's far from a perfect series, but if the characters click with you, I'm sure you'll find it worth a watch.
