Impressions:
I haven't played any of the Uncharted series, but I have a cursory knowledge, enough for me to understand the frustrations fans have with this adaptation. If you took off the Uncharted name, you'd have a fairly typical action spectacle flick. If you have no attachment to the games, you take it for that and probably will be fine. If you are a fan, however, you're almost certain to complain about the casting and numerous other choices in the production. We all know why Tom Holland was cast as Nathan Drake. While it would've been nice to start out with a more established Drake, producers seem allergic to starting a potential franchise in the middle of the story and they want that youth appeal. Probably if it had played better to the strengths of the source material, it would've fared better in a lot of people's estimation, but what we've got is a decent popcorn movie. Take it or leave it.
