The Man from Toronto (2022)
Director: Patrick Hughes
Starring: Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, Kaley Cuoco
Synopsis:
A bumbling salesman finds himself mistaken for a notorious hitman and finds himself pressured by both the FBI and the hitman himself to continue the ruse.
Impressions:
Imagine if Collateral was a comedy and I can wrap the review up here. I mean, seriously, that was on my mind for much of the film. Anyway, for what it is, it's a decent little story of mistaken identity. Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson gel pretty well together. There's a nice element of the Man from Toronto himself not quite being who the stories make him out to be, and we get some decent action set pieces as well. It's not high cinema by any means, but it makes for some good light viewing, and for that, it's worth a watch.
