Walk of Shame (2014)

Walk of Shame (2014)

Director: Steven Brill
Starring: Elizabeth Banks, James Marsden, Gillian Jacobs

Synopsis:
After a wild girls' night out, a local news anchor is plagued by misadventures as she tries to get back to work.

Impressions:
If you like comedies that feature a string of misadventures in the vein of Date Night and the like, you'll probably be fairly amused by this film. When doing a little additional research for the purpose of this review, I was a bit surprised to see how the critics railed on it, particularly the accusations of misogyny, as the whole film seemed like a setup for the bit of soapboxing there at the end, but whatever. I didn't realize the film was as old as it was, so I actually thought it was Elizabeth Banks trying to win back the crowd after the Charlie's Angels fiasco, but that isn't the case. It's not high cinema by any stretch, but I at least got enough chuckles out of it to consider the experience worth my while.
