Synopsis:
After passing Ozen's test, Riko and Reg descend to the Third Layer of the Abyss,

Impressions:
Compared to the previous film, this is an almost completely unabridged adaptation of Episodes 9 to 13 with only a small addition to the end to introduce an important character for the third movie. As far as this section of the story goes, they pile on the trauma pretty heavily, but if you can get through that, the introduction of Nanachi to the story is more than enough to make it all worth it. Similar to the previous film, I'd rate it higher were it not for the fact that the TV series makes it redundant. The small addition here gives you a minor edge going into the third movie, but it alone isn't enough to warrant going out of your way if you've already watched the TV series. On the other hand, if you're a movie-only viewer, then you'll essentially get an identical experience to what the TV series would offer, so you don't have to worry about missing out on anything.
