Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017)

Synopsis:
Two elementary school pranksters hypnotize the school principal to become their comic book hero.

Impressions:
I'm not the target audience of this movie. I would've never seen it if it wasn't for me being in the room while my niece was watching it. On that note, I'll say that it appears to be effective as entertainment for children. I suppose I can also credit the animators for doing a good job of translating the original art to 3D. That's about as far as my praise goes. I suppose being a teacher myself, the story of little rapscallions trying to put one over on the school staff doesn't have the same appeal as it would back when I was a kid. It just doesn't work for me personally on just about any level, but I won't hold that against the film too much. If you're a kid or a kid at heart, you may well enjoy it. Take it or leave it.
