Ticks (1993)

Ticks (1993)

Director: Tony Randel
Starring: Rosalind Allen, Ami Dolenz, Seth Green

Synopsis:
At a woodland retreat for troubled youth, the campers come under attack by mutant ticks.

Impressions:
Just based on the title, you shouldn't expect much from this movie. As far as creature features go, I've seen worse, but it's not a particularly good film. There are some decent creature effects and you might be amused to see a young Seth Green in the lead role and Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) play an ineffectual street punk. You shouldn't expect much from the story or characterization and the third act in particular is a bit of a chaotic mess. If you have a soft spot for movies like this, give it a shot, but you won't miss much by skipping it.
