The Devil's Advocate (1997)
Director: Taylor Hackford
Starring: Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino, Charlize Theron
Synopsis:
A Florida defense attorney is scouted by a big New York firm headed by none other than Satan himself.
Impressions:
This movie was once recommended to me because of its superlative depiction of the Devil and his work. Boy, you don't know the half of it. There have been a lot of good cinematic portrayals of Satan and Al Pacino delivers a master stroke. While others may rag on Keanu Reeves, I thought he was pretty good in this as our protagonist and he had good chemistry with Charlize Theron. Speaking of Theron, I have to give her props for how she played Mary Ann's downward spiral. This is a solid film and highly recommend it.
