The Hidden (1987)

Synopsis:
An FBI agent and a detective pursue an alien parasite that goes from one body to the next wreaking havoc wherever it goes.

Impressions:
This is a pretty good buddy cop movie with a scifi twist, somewhat in the vein of Alien Nation. I like the premise of a body surfing alien parasite that's a huge sense freak, doing all manner of horrible things just because it wants to. Kyle MacLachlan does a subtle yet effective uncanny valley performance as Gallagher which makes for a nice contrast with the lead villain and Michael Nouri is solid as Detective Beck. There's plenty of action to be had and a number of cameos you should appreciate. (In particular, Babylon 5 fans should note Claudia Christian as the stripper Brenda.) This is an enjoyable flick and definitely worth a watch.
