Synopsis:
An LA detective follows the clues around the murder of his friend to Berlin, where he stumbles on a Nazi conspiracy.
Impressions:
George C Scott vs. Marlon Brando? Sure, I'm game. This starts as a murder mystery but becomes more like a Cold War spy thriller. Scott is certainly more than capable of holding up the lead role as the hard-bitten Lieutenant Caine. I like how Caine isn't a cowboy cop who goes at it guns blazing but rather just follows the clues. Compare and contrast with John Wayne's McQ, which does take more of a cowboy cop approach. Marlon Brando is fun as the oil tycoon Steiffel. It's worth seeing, so give it a watch.
