Impressions:
This is a pretty cool movie. Drew Barrymore impresses as the young pyrokinetic Charlie. There's something terrifying about that kind of power held at a child's whim, so I can sympathize with the villains to a degree, but the character is interesting in that she puts a lot of effort into trying to control her power, which makes the moments when she lets loose all the more effective. George C Scott was amazing as the twisted Rainbird, the bad guy's ace in the hole and an artful manipulator. If you like films like Scanners, this is worth seeing. Give it a watch.
