Impressions:
If I told you there was a low-budget remake of The Wolf Man made with a no-name cast, you probably wouldn't be all that excited. Don't get me wrong. Having a low budget and a no-name cast don't necessarily equate to a bad movie. You can find some real diamonds in the rough that way. This isn't one of them. One thing that impressed me about the original was how tightly plotted and well-characterized it was given its comparatively short runtime. This film has an extra 30 minutes and it doesn't yield an improved result. The acting ranges from passable to stilted and awkward. (Ed Grady is fairly entertaining as the Satanic priest, I'll grant you.) The addition of the Satanic cult engineering the situation doesn't make the story any more interesting. There's really no compelling reason to watch this. It doesn't even have sufficient wonkiness for good riffing material. Pass on this one.
