Synopsis:
Apollo Creed spoils for a rematch to prove to the world that the bout with Rocky was nothing but a fluke. Though Rocky has retired, he finds himself drawn back into the ring.

Impressions:
This film is a good organic continuation of the first one. We have reality ensuing after the high of the first bout with Apollo Creed and Rocky finds himself in the lurch, torn between his commitment to Adrian and his identity as a fighter. It's also interesting to see Apollo turn more heel as he seeks to salve his wounded pride. You also have a nice reversal of Apollo being more dedicated to his training while Rocky is only making a half-hearted stab at it (until he gets his fire back at a critical juncture). I'd say this one is as good as the first or at least a close contender. If you liked the first, you'll like this one too. Give it a watch.
