Impressions:
I realize the War on Drugs wasn't formally declared until after this movie was made, but this is still very much a War on Drugs movie. It's decent enough, very much a product of its time. David McCallum does a fair job as the lead and Ricardo Montalban is suave as Jalisco. There are also solid performances by Telly Savalas and Rip Torn as the main villains. Like many films of this type, it dips into the moral grey areas, which may be compelling to you. The soundtrack is very 60s and can become painfully discordant at times. If the premise is enough to pique your interest, give it a shot. Otherwise, you won't miss much if you skip it.
