Frankenstein Created Woman (1967)

Frankenstein Created Woman (1967)

Director: Terence Fisher
Starring: Peter Cushing, Susan Denberg, Thorley Walters

Synopsis:
Baron Frankenstein's experiments leads him in believe in the persistence of the soul after death and tests that principle on a young man wrongly accused of murder.

Impressions:
While this is the fourth Hammer Frankenstein movie, it's the second one I've seen, so I can't speak about the arc of the series. However, I will say that it holds up much better than the Dracula sequels. Maybe this comes up in one of the earlier two sequels, but Frankenstein appears less overtly evil but still callously driven. This is a decent back-from-the-dead revenge story. The setup and the payoff are rewarding enough. Certainly not as good as the first movie, but still worth watching in my view.
