Bullitt (1968)

Bullitt (1968)

Director: Peter Yates
Starring: Steve McQueen, Jacqueline Bisset, Robert Vaughn

Synopsis:
A San Francisco detective has to get to the bottom of the murder of a witness.

Impressions:
If you're a fan of the cowboy cop and big car chases, this is the film largely responsible for making them big. Indeed, some people just watch this movie nowadays for the big car chase (which is pretty cool). It's a decent cop story. Steve McQueen is solid in the lead and I also like Robert Vaughn as the antagonistic Senator Chamlers. It's worth a viewing in my book. If you like movies along the lines of the Dirty Harry series or if you're a Steve McQueen fan, you should like this too.
