Synopsis:
Atomic tests in New Mexico trigger an outbreak of giant mutant ants.

Impressions:
You wouldn't expect a movie about giant ants to be much good. Sure, it might be good for some laughs, but you wouldn't take it seriously, right? Well, if you didn't know any better, you might be surprised to hear that it's actually a pretty solid and suspenseful creature feature. The effects don't hold up terribly well, but the writing and acting do. It's a little hokey at times, but for the material, it's surprisingly solid and sincere. Most movies of this type are terrible, but this is a major exception and deserves to be seen. Give it a watch.
