...And God Created Woman (1956)
[Et Dieu... créa la femme]
Director: Roger Vadim
Starring: Brigitte Bardot, Curd Jürgens, Jean-Louis Trintignant
Synopsis:
A freespirited girl tempts the men around her.
Impressions:
Fairly tame by modern standards, this movie caused some major ripples when it came out. Personally, I found it rather boring. Yes, Brigitte Bardot is pretty, but I didn't find the story or characters particularly engaging. At least for Bardot, it kicked off a career, so yay for her. Maybe if you're more inclined to French cinema than I am, you'll want to give it a watch, but if the idea of a dull romantic pileup doesn't sound like your idea of a good time, pass on it.
