A Bill of Divorcement (1932)

A Bill of Divorcement (1932)

Director: George Cukor
Starring: John Barrymore, Katharine Hepburn, Billie Burke

Synopsis:
A man returns home after 15 years in an asylum and finds his wife pursuing another man.

Impressions:
This movie is noteworthy as the film debut of Katharine Hepburn. For itself, it's an okay melodrama with rather overwrought performances. Besides its place as a landmark in Hepburn's career, this film probably wouldn't be that well remembered. Consider giving it a shot, but it's not that compelling.

Rating:
50/50
