More progress on Chapter 3 of Tellus. I’m almost done, but it’s going to take a bit longer as I realize Tobias’ Chronic Hero Syndrome isn’t going to allow him to exit as quickly as I’d originally planned. More to come. Stay tuned.

Made a little more progress on Chapter 3 of Tellus, but more time was spent in the peripheral materials and charting out the course of the story’s journey (about halfway into it at the moment). More to come. Stay tuned.

I finished up Chapter 2 on Tellus, wrote a fair bit on Chapter 3 and a scene for Chapter 4. We’re off to a good start. If I can maintain this pace, I’ll have some respectable progress done by the end of the week. Stay tuned.

Well, I decided that taking the subtle approach wasn’t going to get me where I needed to be, so I wiped the entire outline of Tellus clean and started over from scratch to put the story back together in a way that’s more cohesive and streamlined narratively. I didn’t go quite as far when getting TBP ready for prime time, but there was a similar spirit that required me apply the last 15 years of experience to taming the overeagerness of my 16-year-old self. Quite a few subplots and extraneous characters were cut, but a lot of that material will find new life in the sequel of sorts, The Wandering Warriors.

Although it’s TG’s turn, the need to get more content written for Tellus is greater, so that’s what I’m going to be working on this week. If I can at least finish two or three chapters, that’d be nice. Stay tuned.

I finished Chapter 17 of CeleKing3 and started in on Chapter 18. Things are moving along smoothly. If only Tellus was in such good shape. I’m seriously thinking about replotting the story from the ground up. Not really something you want to be doing less than two weeks before launching a novel, but so it goes. Stay tuned.
