Impressions:
I was led to this series after it was referenced in Haganai. Honestly, I went into it looking forward to the prospect of the Yukimura equivalent being the main girl. I do like the relationship between Jirou and Subaru, but the writing comes up short. The humor is too juvenile for my tastes and the fanservice is quite blatant, so if you're not a fan of that sort of thing, you're not going to enjoy yourself too much. To the series' credit, I will say that it never got so bad that I wanted to drop it. It's a fairly middle-of-the-road romcom appealing to the slightly more immature set and if all you're wanting is a passable watch, there are worse ways to spend your time. If you're looking for a little more depth and emotional resonance, this isn't going to meet those expectations. Take it or leave it.
