Little Nikita (1988)

Little Nikita (1988)

Director: Richard Benjamin
Starring: Sidney Poitier, River Phoenix, Richard Jenkins

Synopsis:
An FBI agent uses the son of Soviet sleeper agents to hunt a rogue operative.

Impressions:
This is a decent Cold War thriller. River Phoenix was an actor with a lot of potential and it's a shame we didn't get to see what he could've done later in adulthood. He holds up the movie fairly well and there's a good atmosphere of confusion and paranoia. The idea of being a long-term sleeper agent intrigues me, so the concept was pretty cool. I thought it was worth seeing and you may too.
