My Life with Caroline (1941)

My Life with Caroline (1941)

Director: Lewis Milestone
Starring: Ronald Colman, Anna Lee, Charles Winninger

Synopsis:
A man has to win back his flighty wife while recounting the last time he had to go through the same experience.

Impressions:
If Ronald Colman wasn't in the lead role, I probably wouldn't have bothered with this one and honestly, he's about the only thing really good about it. He brings the usual charm and entertainment value to a mediocre romantic comedy. The premise had some promise, but I actually would've liked a series of vignettes of the cycle that's hinted at. There are some amusing moments, but the story isn't nearly compelling enough to carry the picture. If you're a big Ronald Colman fan, you may want to consider it, but otherwise you'll probably want to skip it.
